Through these Champagne wines, we aim to introduce you to the terroir of Ludes and its surroundings. These champagnes are built on four pillars: a plot – a grape variety – a vintage – a vinification process.
On the sunlit slopes of Ludes, the Les Grimpants parcel benefits from a south-west-facing exposure, ideal for Pinot Noir. Its distinctive terroir, characterised by silt over chalk, lends the wine remarkable intensity and elegance.
Generous aromas of white fruit and hazelnut, a fine structure and a subtly oaked finish reveal the full potential of this unique parcel.
Set in the rich and complex terroirs of the Montagne de Reims, this 90-are parcel faces north-east and is planted with 30-year-old Pinot Noir vines and 60-year-old Chardonnay vines.
The intricate geological layers of this terroir give the cuvée aromatic richness and a precise structure. Notes of white fruit, a full yet lively palate and a fine, lingering finish express the distinctive character of this unique lieu-dit.
Located in Ludes, the lieu-dit “Le Moulin à Vent” comprises two plots of 45 ares and 28 ares, situated on a north-west-facing hillside.
Planted entirely with Chardonnay, these 30-year-old vines produce a balanced, mineral Champagne with delicate notes of white flowers and hazelnut, aromas of ripe apple and toasted bread, and a long, slightly buttery finish.
